The
Gasoline Engine Driven Blower meets all requirements of military specification
MIL-B-26793B. This equipment is used to inflate aircraft lifting bags, used in
emergencies, to raise crash landed aircraft from the ground. The unit may also be
used whenever a source of low pressure air is needed, such as inflating pontoons and dock
bags. The Gasoline Engine Driven Blower is a portable self-contained unit, which consists
of a heavy duty gasoline driven engine, directly coupled to a positive displacement blower.
In operation, air under pressure is discharged through four valved outlet ports.
The unit is shock mounted and is provided with a removable cover hood which serves
to protect the unit when not in service, and to facilitate preheating of the engine in
extremely cold conditions. The unit is mounted on skids and is provided with handles
for lifting or tie down.
This unit is also available utilizing a diesel engine in
lieu of the gasoline engine, which will operate with diesel No. 2, JP-5 or
JP-8 aircraft fuel.
